Don’t Turn This Month into FOMO-vember. Here’s All The Fun Hitting Phx in November.

 

Whenever October is over, Phoenicians breathe a sigh of relief, as it usually means there will be consistently cooler temperatures from here on out. November brings some of the most beautiful weather of the year – and along with that, there are plenty of events to attend during the month. We gathered some of the best here, so you could plan ahead. Check it out!

Thursday, November 1

– Crescent Ballroom is hosting MarchFourth, a group of musicians who bring funk, rock, and jazz to the stage. They tour the country year-round and are making a stop there for a show starting at 8 pm. Tickets between $13-22.

– ThirdSpace is hosting “The Happier Hour Comedy Show” starting at 7:30 pm, which features local and nationally touring comedians performing. The best part? The show is free, with no drink minimums (though there will be food and drink specials all night).

Friday, November 2

– “Taste-About” Gilbert is the perfect event to head to if you’re a food and beverage junkie. Tickets start at $39 and include sampling dishes and drinks from a variety of vendors like Joyride Tacos, Postinos, OHSO, and much more. The event runs from 4-9pm.

– It’s First Friday again over on Roosevelt Row starting at 6 pm. The free art event includes locally made items, vintage finds, galleries for viewing, food for purchase, and much more. The market is found on 2nd and 5th streets, south of Roosevelt.

Saturday, November 3

– Westworld of Scottsdale is hosting the azCentral Wine & Food Experience which showcases food, wine, beer, and spirits from local and national chefs and mixologists. The event runs from 1-4pm (VIP entry starts at 12) and ticket packages being at $65, which allow you to have unlimited samplings of chef creations. Perfect for any foodie!

– Dillion’s BBQ and the Wildlife World Zoo have partnered up for the first annual Wild Country Festival. Featuring 4 country bands, 20+ vendors, a beer garden, food trucks, and much more, it’s bound to be a great day. Plus, there will be exclusive animal encounters through the event. Doors open at 1 pm, tickets range from $15-39.99 depending if you want admission to the zoo as well.

Sunday, November 4

– Who doesn’t love brunch? Paz Cantina is throwing a brunch party from 10am-1pm, featuring bottomless mimosas, comfort foods, and a DJ spinning hits. Head over to grab some grub and enjoy community!

– French DJ and music producer Petit Biscuit is gracing the stage at the Van Buren for his USA fall tour. The show starts at 8 pm, and tickets start at $29.00.

Monday, November 5

– The Van Buren is hosting “Go Vote” – a concert and rally taking place the night before election day. The night will feature the Gin Blossoms, Calexico, Phoenix Afrobeat Orchestra, and more. Gabby Giffords and Mark Kelly will also be there, as well as Chris Bianco from Pizzeria Bianco making pizza. Tickets start at $15.

Tuesday, November 6

– Grammy-nominated rock and blues band The Record Company is performing at Crescent ballroom starting at 8 pm (with special guests Madisen Ward and the Mama Bear). Tickets between $29-32.

– Head over to Tempe for the Clark Park fall farmer’s market, featuring a ton of food trucks and vendors. Support local artisans and farmers at this event starting at 5 pm.

Wednesday, November 7

– Rapper Nate Feuerstein (known otherwise as NF) will be performing at the Van Buren as a part of his perception tour. This is the second time he will be at the venue during this year – and the first show in March sold out. Tickets start at $37.50, show starts at 8 pm.

– Elevate Yoga & Wellness hosts an all-levels weekly mat yoga class, where you’re led through an hour-long hatha yoga flow. The class is donation based. Sign up here.

Thursday, November 8

– The Mesa Music Festival kicks off the first day of the three-day event starting at 6 pm. The event shows up the best up and coming talent from across the country, including over 300 live performances, live art installations, food trucks, and much more. Plus, the admission is free! – The Nash presents “Jazz meets Poetry” – a night that places poets and jazz musicians together to make art. The concert this month is at 7:30 pm and celebrates Native American poetry. Tickets are $15 or $8 for students (with ID).

Friday, November 9

– Enjoy some sweets and spice over at the Chiles & Chocolate Festival taking place at the Desert Botanical Gardens. From 10am-5pm you can enjoy gourmet chocolates, fire-roasted chiles, and more. There will also be live dance performances. Included with general admission to the gardens, which is $24.95.

– Pinterest enthusiasts should check out the “Pinners Conference” – where the creative comes to life. There will be over 250 shopping booths and over 100 classes where you can learn how to DIY anything and everything. General admission starts at $8. 10am-8pm.

Saturday, November 10

Put on your pajamas (or keep them on from the night before) and meet us for the second annual Scottsdale Pajama Bar Crawl on Saturday, November 10th! Join us as we make our way through Old Town together in an old school style bar crawl. The Crawl starts at 2 pm, includes FIVE FREE DRINKS, drink specials at every stop along the way, and you get to party in your jammies!!

– It’s time for the Grand Avenue Festival – an arts and preservation festival taking place on historic grand avenue from the I-10 overpass south to Van Buren St. The walking festival highlights businesses, galleries, art and more. There will be music, food, performances, and much more for everyone to enjoy as they walk around and enjoy the weather. Find out more about the free event here.

– Enjoy a fun “Mustache Crawl” in Scottsdale – hop from bar to bar while wearing a mustache. You can wear a fake ‘stache or grow your own (though one isn’t required to participate). $20 tickets include admission, three 1-penny ($.01) drink vouchers to use, a fake mustache and more. The crawl goes from 1pm-7pm.

Sunday, November 11

– Phoenix Public Market is presenting “PHX Pheast” – a showcase of chef creations celebrating local farmers. The evening will feature a variety of bites to sample, as well as cocktail and beer samplings and live entertainment. The $75 ticket includes all food tastings and two drink tickets. The event takes place from 5-9pm.

– The eighth annual Bentley Scottsdale Polo Championships returns to WestWorld of Scottsdale – and you can enjoy the event which features much more than just the game. There will be a car show, food trucks, a fashion show – plenty for everyone to enjoy. There are various ticket packages, with general admission starting at $25. Monday, November 12

– The 2018 Canal Convergence is taking place at the Scottsdale Waterfront, featuring a variety of art workshops and art experiences to enjoy. There will also be tours and live music. The event is free! See the various things to check out and times with a full schedule here.

Tuesday, November 13

– Four Peaks Brewing Co. presents the return of their “Autumn Beer Dinner,” featuring seasonal dishes and pairings from 6-9pm. The $65 ticket gets you an awesome four-course meal (all paired with beer) as well as a reception beer, tax, and gratuity. Reserve your spot here.

– Experimental rock act mewithoutYou is performing at Crescent Ballroom starting at 8 pm. The band is known for their theatrical punk/post-hardcore performances, though they don’t limit themselves to one genre. Tickets start at $20.

Wednesday, November 14

– Catch a screening of the classic film “The Goonies,” over at the Alamo Drafthouse in Tempe starting at 6 pm. Tickets are $8.65, and a portion of every ticket goes to the Phoenix Children’s Hospital.

– It’s hot rod night over at Westgate, featuring a classic car show, live music, and happy hour deals from the surrounding bars and restaurants. Parking opens at 4 pm for the free event running until 9 pm.

Thursday, November 15

– It’s time for a late harvest dinner presented by SanTan Brewing Company. $64 gets you a four-course meal paired with local craft beer, wine, and spirits. The dinner is from 6:30-8: 30 pm. See the offerings here.

– Enjoy the November weather and head to Crescent Ballroom for their community bike ride starting at 8 pm. The ride lasts 45 minutes to an hour and finishes on the patio with drink and burrito specials. Free!

Friday, November 16

–  It’s Four Peaks Brewing Company 21st Anniversary Party featuring a night of food, music performances, and of course, beer. One of the music acts is The All-American Rejects, known for hits like “Move Along” and “Dirty Little Secret.” General admission starts at $10.

– Science With A Twist is back at the Arizona Science Center with a Game of Thrones-themed party from 6-10pm! The 21+ event features a variety of themed events and drinks and food available for purchase. $12 for general admission.

Saturday, November 17

– The 2018 Phoenix Undy Run/Walk benefiting the Colon Cancer Alliance kicks off at 9 am at the State Capital District. Registration is $35 in advance, $40 on the race day. The registration gets you a pair of 2018 boxer shorts and helps to bring awareness to Colon Cancer.

The ArtFest of Scottsdale is kicking off starting at 10 am. Over 150 artists will be represented in Downtown Scottsdale, where there will be live music, fine art and crafts, and food for purchase among other things. The best part is that admission and parking are free!

Sunday, November 18

– Mac & Cheese Lovers will enjoy the “Mac & Cheese Fest” as restaurants around the valley compete to take home the Golden Noodle Trophy. There will be $2 tastings of mac & cheese, cooking demonstrations, and much more, it’s sure to be a flavor-filled day. General admission starts at $15. Doors open at 11 am.

Monday, November 19

– GenuWine Arizona is hosting a “Bouquets and Cabernets” night, where you can learn to create a beautiful flower arrangement. Appetizers and drinks available for purchase, along with wine specials. The $64 ticket includes everything you need to make the arrangement.

– Changing Hands Bookstore in Phoenix is hosting “First Fiction at First Draft,” which highlights three debut novelists. They will be reading excerpts from their upcoming novels while you enjoy happy hour prices at the book bar. The event runs from 7-9pm and is free, though there are VIP packages available.

Tuesday, November 20

– Get your Tuesday morning started right with an all-level yoga flow class starting at 9 am over at The Churchill. $7 gets you the class or $15.00 includes the class plus an acai bowl or smoothie. Bring your own water and mat.

Wednesday, November 21

– Who doesn’t love the 90’s? Wear your best 90’s outfit for a Thanksgiving Eve party over at the Casablanca Rooftop Lounge in Scottsdale starting at 8 pm. Tickets are $10.

–  SanTan Brewing and Distilling in Uptown Phoenix features live acoustic music from 5:30-8pm that you can enjoy for free. This week’s performance is Matthew Thornton.

Thursday, November 22

– The annual Phoenix Turkey Trot is taking place, featuring a 5k run and walk or a 10k run for those wanting to test their endurance. Registration includes a race shirt, photos with “Turkey Tom” and more. See times and prices for registering here.

– The Arizona International Auto Show is back at the Phoenix Convention Center from 9am-7pm. Over 500 of the latest cars are set to take over. The non-selling environment allows car enthusiasts to look at the newest and latest in-car technology. Features everything from the high-end exotics to pre-production models. Admission is $10.

Friday, November 23

– Avoid the mall this year and support local business with an Alternative Black Friday over at CityScape in Phoenix. From 12-7pm, there will be over 20 local, vintage, and handmade vendors set up for you to browse. There will also be live music and a “Selfie Station.”

– Enjoy a kickoff to the holiday season with the Glendale Glitters opening night celebration starting at 5:30 pm. There are 1.6 million lights over 16 blocks of the Historic Downtown Glendale area. Enjoy vendors and food stands as well. It’s a fun, festive, and free event.

Saturday, November 24

– Head over to the Historic Heritage Square park for the Phoenix Flea market – showcasing 150+ small businesses that feature handcrafted goods, vintage finds, and of course, food and drinks for purchase. From 10am-5pm.

– Comedian David Spade is performing over at Stand Up Live in Phoenix. Known for various work, including his role on “Just Shoot Me” and stint on “Saturday Night Live,” his show is sure to make you laugh. Tickets to the 9:30 pm show are $45.

Sunday, November 25

–  “Bubbles and Beats” is a fun event taking place at The Teapot coffee shop (which is housed in a 1906 cottage). There will be live music and BOGO mimosas from 9:30am-1pm.

– Enjoy an outdoor ice rink over in CityScape with skating sessions from 3-5pm, 5:30-7:30 pm, and 8-11pm. General admission tickets are $15.

Monday, November 26

– Steven Page (former bandmate of the Barenaked Ladies) is performing at Crescent Ballroom with special guest Wesley Stace. Tickets are $35 for the show starting at 8 pm.

– Enjoy a “How The Grinch Stole Christmas” themed paint and wine night over at Aunt Chiladas. The $45 price gives you the supplies you need to create a work of art on canvas as you’re walked through each step by an artist. Food and drinks are available for purchase. The event runs from 6-9pm.

Tuesday, November 27

– The Nash is hosting an ASU Latin Jazz night, featuring the Latin jazz band from Arizona State performing Afro-Cuban Latin-jazz and Brazilian jazz. Tickets are $15, or $5 for students with ID. Starts at 7:30 pm.

Wednesday, November 28

– Beloved rock band Fleetwood Mac is making their way to The Talking Stick Resort Arena for “An Evening with Fleetwood Mac.” The best-selling band has sold more than 100 million records worldwide. The concert starts at 8 pm, and there are still tickets available starting at $64.75.

– Enjoy a night of stories over at Crescent Ballroom as a part of “The Moth: Phoenix StorySlam.” The night features people from the community reading five-minute stories around a set theme. This month’s theme is “beginnings.” Tickets are $10 for the show at 8 pm.

Thursday, November 29

– It’s time to practice mindfulness! Studies show that mindfulness can relieve stress and pain – so head over to the Phoenix Art Museum with a free 30-minute mindfulness session. It starts at 12 pm at the Dorrance Sculpture Garden.

– R&B Soul singer Jorja Smith is bringing her talents to The Van Buren as a part of the Lost and Found tour. Special guest (and fellow soul singer) Ravyn Lenae will also be there. Tickets are $25 for the show starting at 8 pm.

Friday, November 30

– The Tempe Festival of the Arts kicks off starting at 10 am. The festival is ranked in the Top 100 of Classic & Contemporary Craft shows in the nation! Up to 375 art booths will line Mill Avenue. Free admission and goes until 5:30 pm.

– Get ready to boogie for a ‘90s R&B and Hip-Hop dance party over at Crescent Ballroom. DJ’s will be spinning all of the beats, from Outkast to Prince and everything in between. Tickets are $3 in advance or $5 the day of the event, which starts at 9 pm.
