The Phoenix heat couldn’t stop the excitement at Monterey Park, where an awesome crowd of hard hitters gathered for Softball Home Run Derby 2025. Players brought the energy across three thrilling rounds of competition. Each participant started with six swings in the opening round before the top five advanced to the second round for another six. The final three competitors battled it out in a high-stakes third round, taking five swings each to determine the ultimate champion.

Scoring was based on precision and power: 1 point for outfield drops from the dirt line to mid-field, 3 points for hits deeper into the outfield, and 5 points for every home run. By the end of the day, the group had racked up an impressive 29 home runs across all rounds, proving that the talent was just as strong as the community spirit. Notably, this year’s event saw both female and male participants joining along in the fun, marking an exciting first for the competition and adding even more energy to the friendly rivalry.
