7 Concerts in Phx You’ll Want to Rock Out at This Winter

 

 

Phoenix might not always be considered a top music destination, but the Valley is lucky to be a stop for nearly every major touring artist– thanks in large part to its prime spot between Las Vegas and Los Angeles. Check out some of our music picks below. 

Gryffin

December 4

Gryffin is a producer who mastered melodic EDM with hits like “Feel Good,” featuring Illenium and Daya and Tie Me Down. His Gravity II show promises a night of good vibes, dancing and plenty of chances to sing along. (The Van Buren // 8 p.m. – 12 a.m. // $35+)

Kip Moore

December 6

Kip Moore is a country music favorite and double-platinum hitmaker with songs like “Somethin’ ‘Bout A Truck” and “Beer Money.” His Room to Spare Tour will feature acoustic performances inspired by his recently released “Room to Spare: The Acoustic Sessions” EP. (The Van Buren // 8 p.m. // $33+)

Ariana Grande 

December 10 

The current princess of pop is returning to Phoenix for the second time this year for her Sweetener Tour due to high demand. Concert goers can look forward to stunning, over-the-top production, upbeat pop hits and powerhouse ballads like ‘God is a Woman.’ (Talking Stick Resort Arena // 7 p.m. // $45+)

Snoop Dogg 

December 11

This prolific rapper, BFF to Martha Stewart and occasional actor needs no introduction. This chart-topping rapper will return to Phoenix once again to perform hits like “Gina and Juice,” “Drop it Like it’s Hot” and “Nothin’ but a G Thang” with an opening performance by Warren G. (The Van Buren // 8 p.m. // $60+)

Jonas Brothers

December 10

The Jonas Brothers are taking the overwhelmingly positive response to their reunion to heart and giving the people what they want — more of the Happiness Tour. After just two months, they’ll be back in Phoenix to perform new hits like “Sucker” and “Cool” as well as classic favorites like “Year 3000.” (Talking Stick Resort Arena // 7:30 p.m. // $37+)

Decadence Music Festival

December 30 and 31 

Arizona’s largest New Year’s Eve Celebration is also a can’t miss music event for EDM lovers with performances by legends like Skrillex, Diplo, Dillon Francis and Illenium throughout the two-night festival. (Rawhide Event Center // Times and Prices Vary) 

Chance the Rapper

January 19

Multi-Grammy Award-winning Chance the Rapper is bringing his appropriately named ‘The Big Tour,’ to Phoenix following the release of his highly anticipated album, The Big Day. The album is already receiving acclaim with features from artists like Death Cab for Cutie and Shawn Mendes, and the tour promises to deliver the same jaw-dropping appeal. (Gila River Arena // 7 p.m. // $55+)
