Wednesday, June 20

– Hang out at jazz hot spot The Nash for a night of music and comedy, “Jazz and Jokes.” It’s a great combination of improve and tunes. Only $10, starts at 7:30.

– Join Living United for a Change in Arizona (LUCHA) for a premiere of the original film “LUCHA Es Nuestra LUCHA: Stories About Community Power.” The film is produced and made in Arizona and documents people working for justice in the state. Costs $10, with showings at 7:30 and 8:30 pm.

Thursday, June 21

– The Burton Barr Central Library is finally back open after flood damage forced a renovation! They are hosting a Summer Solstice Celebration from 12:00-1:00 pm, free of charge. Renowned architect Will Bruder will be talking about engineering features and there will be live music too!

– Come celebrate history with the Phoenix Suns as they hold the No.1 NBA draft pick for the first time in franchise history. The special event features players and alumni and is free with registration!

Friday, June 22

– Metallica Fans will have a great time at “ONE: The Only Tribute to Metallica” at BLK Live. $18 for general admission, with upgrade options available. The show starts at 6:00 pm.

– Most people don’t like watching the news these days, but “Skewed News Hour” at the Second Beat Improv Theater is a great way to let off some steam by choosing news articles for performers to draw skit inspiration from. Tickets are only $7!

Saturday, June 23

– Drinking Kombucha (fermented tea) has become more and more popular as a soda alternative due to its health benefits. Learn how to make your own with a Kombucha Brewing 101 class at Craft Nights. Cost is $45.

Release pool parties at Talking Stick Resort are some of the hottest events of the season, and this Saturday will be no exception as DJ Tiesto is making an appearance. $45 for entry, doors open at 12:00 pm.

Sunday, June 24

– Go behind the scenes at Paradox Distillery and take a tasting tour, which includes a flight of all the spirits made in-house. The tour covers the process of making the brews and is $20.

– Another day, another pool party going on in Phoenix. Hang out at BLK live for a DJ and good times in the water. $10 to get in, and additional charges for daybeds or cabana rentals.

Monday, June 25

– Blues, jazz, and modern music combine for a night of free entertainment. The Singer and the Songwriter (Rachel Garcia and Thu Tran) provide great tunes and good vibes for music enthusiasts of all types.

– Join Urban Wellness for a free community meditation class, starting at 7:00 am. All levels of meditators are welcome to join, including those simply curious about the process.

– Hang out at Maya Day and Nightclub for a free night swim and party starting at 10:00 pm, featuring live DJ Benzi.

Tuesday, June 26

– Cinema enthusiast? Test your knowledge with a team of six in a cinema and culture trivia competition hosted by Valley Bar. Starts at 8:00 pm sharp and is free to register.

–  Celebrate the history of one of the most iconic streets in the Valley: Grand Avenue. “Be Part of What You Love” is a free event (with registration) that gives you a chance to create a canvas that will be a part of a community art installation. You also get to hear stories from guest speakers about the street and interact with local businesses, which is pretty cool.
