Tasty Spots For Your Pizza Craving in Phoenix

There’s no other meal quite like pizza — it’s universally loved, shareable and customizable. Whether you prefer a Chicago deep dish or a traditional thin crust, Phoenix’s pizza selection is continuing to grow with a pizza (or a few) for every preference. Not sure where to start? We’ve got you covered with this list of the top spots around the Valley.

Lou Malnati’s

While a few iconic Chicago-based deep-dish pizza joints have made their way west, Lou Malnati’s seems to be adjusting to the Valley best with a rapid expansion that includes three locations in just a few years. There’s something undeniably decadent about the Manati classic especially — the thick, classic pizza topped with sausage, extra cheese and plenty of sauce.

Doughbird is one of the newer Sam Fox ventures and despite its unexpected coupling of inventive pizza recipes and rotisserie chicken, its been a hit with both dishes executed with the high standard Fox Concepts loyalists have come to expect. The two come together with Doughbird’s unique take on the barbecue chicken pizza which features charred corn, red onion, jalapeno pesto, and white cheddar.

Downtown Phoenix

Having been a downtown Phoenix staple for nearly 15 years, Cibo is a go-to for all varieties of gourmet Neapolitan pizza with nearly two dozen options. To add to its coolness factor, the restaurant is housed in a quaint, 1900s bungalow in the heart of the Phoenix.

Chris Bianco of Pizzeria Bianco is one of Arizona’s most notable chefs with more than 30 years of pizza experience and a James Beard Award on his résumé. Even after three decades in business, you’ll see tourists and Phoenicians waiting in line up for hours at a time outside the restaurant’s original downtown location for a chance to enjoy his crispy, thin-crust pizzas.

Federal Pizza

Central Phoenix

We can probably all agree that the world would be a better place with pizza drive-thrus and now our prayers have been answered with Federal Pizza. Not only do you not have to leave your car to enjoy this pizza, but it also offers top-quality pies with creative ingredients that you’d expect from a high-end restaurant. We recommend trying the ‘Big Star’ with sausage, pepperoni, bell peppers, mushrooms, olives, and wood-roasted onions.

With is a 45-year legacy in Arizona, Spinato’s has made a name for itself with its consistent, high-quality Chicago-style pizzas and due to its popularity, it has grown to five locations across the Valley. The restaurant has continued to be a family business and the team makes sure to make its customers feel like family too, which we’re convinced makes the already top-tier pizza taste even better.

LAMP Wood Oven Pizzeria

North Scottsdale

Wood-fired pizza has a distinct, flavorful and smoky taste that’s impossible to replicate and LAMP Wood Oven Pizzeria has mastered it, offering more than 20 creative and classic pizza options that pair flawlessly with the perfectly charred dough. Plus, if those aren’t enough options for you, you can customize any pizza with dozens of topping options ranging from baby meatballs to figs.
