Stay Cool and Sip on These Frozen Drinks Around Phx

While the temperatures are hot in the Valley, you may think that there isn’t much to do around town to stay cool. We beg to differ. There’s nothing more refreshing than heading to a restaurant and ordering a nice, frozen beverage. There are quite a few restaurants that know what they’re doing when it comes to serving up delicious (and cold) libations. You should definitely check them out!

Diego Pops

4338 N. Scottsdale Rd.,

Scottsdale, AZ 85251

Diego Pops is definitely one of the most Insta-worthy options when it comes to finding frozen drinks in the Valley. The Mexican restaurant in Old Town Scottsdale delivers on tasty cool drinks for the summertime. You can choose to blend one of their delicious margarita flavors, but the real stars of the show are the Snow Cone Margaritas. They have Watermelon Lime or Mango Habanero for those of you who want to add a bit of spice to what you’re sippin’ on.

Bitter and Twisted

1 W Jefferson St.,

Phoenix, AZ 85003

If you haven’t been to Bitter and Twisted yet, what are you doing? The renowned cocktail has a massive selection of classic cocktails to try, as well as different specialties that come whenever they launch a new menu. This brought some fun blended varieties to the table that are definitely worth a try, like the Coupette Colada (featuring premium rum, pineapple cordial, house coconut sorbet, and sparkling Prosecco) and Peachy Keen (bourbon, amaro, lemon, peach, grapefruit, and cinnamon syrup).

Fat Tuesday

Locations in Glendale and Tempe

Fat Tuesday may be one of the more iconic frozen drink places – it’s their specialty. They offer more than 20 different kinds of frozen daiquiris that might make choosing which one to order difficult (so order more than one, maybe?). Some of their offerings include the Dirty Banana, which is a mix of Banana Banshee and White Russian. You can even take the Dirty Banana to the next level with a Banana Split – mixing the two flavors with Strawberry 151 Colada. There are more tame flavors for the less adventurous, like Blue Razz or Mango. Enjoy $6 daiquiris during happy hour from 4-7pm and reverse happy hour Sunday-Thursday from 9-11pm.

Undertow

3620 E. Indian School Rd.,

Phoenix, AZ 85018 (inside Sip Coffee & Beer Garage)

This underground establishment not only serves a variety of cold drinks but has you feeling like you’re under the deck of a ship with the décor and intimate atmosphere. You can enjoy many different drinks over crushed iced that will definitely get the job done. However, you can also enjoy really popular blended drink options like the “Missionaries’ Downfall,” which is a classic Tiki cocktail that tastes like a blended mojito with a hint of peach and pineapple. The light, fresh drink is a perfect treat to sip on during a hot Phoenix day.

The Pobrecito Cocktails

901 N. 1st St.,

Phoenix, AZ 85004

Located inside open-air food court The Churchill, Pobrecito has quickly become well known for their delicious cocktails (and don’t worry, the place has plenty of giant fans and shade to keep you cool). Currently they’re offering a few different frozen libations on their menu. The Painkiller blends tropical flavors like coconut, orange, and pineapple with rum. The Watermelon Frozé combines dry white wine and Aperol with watermelon, peach, and lemon flavors. A great thing about the location of this cocktail bar is that you have the ability to grab some food for any of the other vendors that reside in the space, making it so you can mix and match your favorites.
