The traditional Irish celebration commemorating the death of Ireland’s patron saint, St. Patrick’s Day, is almost here, meaning it’s time to don your favorite green clothing, sip a festive green beer and enjoy all aspects of traditional Irish culture — from Irish tunes to corn beef. From a 5K to a parade to a bar crawl, there are plenty of ways to keep the celebration going all day long. To plan your most festive St. Paddy’s Day yet, check out this roundup of some of the Valley’s top events.

Sip the St. Patrick’s Day Show Stopper Shake
There are few things as festive as Hotel Valley Ho’s over-the-top monthly Show Stopper Shake and the St. Patrick’s Day version is no exception. It’s crafted with a green tea and mint milkshake base topped with mini chocolate chips, Lucky Charm crumbles, house-made thin mint, a chocolate eclair ice cream bar and a house-made cream puff. Plus, $1 from each shake will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central & Northern Arizona. (Hotel Valley Ho // 11:00 a.m. // $18)

2020 Phoenix St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Faire
One of the state’s largest St. Patrick’s Day events feature a festive, family-friendly parade heading south through downtown Phoenix with Irish-themed floats, Irish dancers, marching bands, bag pipers and more. The festival taking place afterwards will charm attendees with food and beverages, Irish crafts and merchandise, bagpipe performances, a children’s area and three stages of Irish music. (Margaret T. Scottsdale Shamrock Crawl
Drink your way through Old Town Scottsdale while wearing green with a festive St. Patrick’s Day-themed bar crawl with walkable stops at Casamigos, Maya Club House, Social Tap Scottsdale, Wasted Grain and Whiskey Row, with three penny drink vouchers included in your ticket price to get you started. Plus, each venue will offer promotions to keep the party going throughout the afternoon. (Casamigos // 11:00 a.m. // $20)

Irish Fountain Fest ShamROCK the Hills
The legendary Fountain Hills fountain will be going green to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with nearly a dozen food trucks, live music by a Celtic rock band, kids’ activities and a Crescent Crown beer garden featuring Guiness and New Belgium for the first-ever Irish Fountain Fest. March 16

Rula Bula St. Patrick’s Day
Mill Avenue’s best known Irish bar is going all-out for this year’s St. Patrick’s Day celebration – beginning on Irish time at 5:01 p.m. on March 16 and continuing on March 17. Over the course of the two-day event, St. Paddy’s Day enthusiasts will enjoy live music by Trevor Jones and Tommy Rocker, a performance by Tempe Town Lake Pipe Band, entertainment by the McTeggart Irish Dancers, giveaways from Irish alcohol favorites Guinness and Jameson, and much more. March 17

Kelly’s at SouthBridge’s 8th Annual Saint Patrick’s Day Celebration
The Old Town Scottsdale pub will continue the weekend’s St. Paddy’s Day festivities with green beer, Irish Car Bombs, Jameson Shots a specialty Irish menu featuring corn beef sliders, fish and chips and an Irish Dog — a banger hot dog with sauerkraut. The afternoon’s festivities will kick off with a performance by Glendale Fire Department Honor Guard Pipes and Drums, followed up by local favorites including Teddy Arunski and Steve Ayotte & The Get Down. All You Can Eat Corned Beef Meal at Chompie’s
Beginning at 11 a.m. on St. Paddy’s Day you can celebrate by eating as much corned beef as possible along with other Irish food favorites like boiled red potatoes, cabbage, fresh-baked Irish soda and leprechaun-themed desserts.
