First Friday in August: Heard Unplugged at Heard Museum, Phoenix
Fresh off their first album release, Nihookááʼ diyin dineʼé, join us in welcoming the Indigenous led (Diné) music collective from Arizona, Earth Surface People. On Friday, August 5th, we are thrilled to kick off Heard Unplugged, which will feature live contemporary Native American musical performances and creative expression. Karaoke Contest at Batchelor’s Pad BBQ, Fountain Hills
If you love to sing then come on out and compete in lur annual karaoke contest! It is always a great time!!! You’ll have 90 seconds to perform the song of your choice! Two age categories: Adult – 14+ and Child – 13 & under. The contestants will be judged on voice, pitch clarity, pronunciation, stage presence and theatricality. The 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place Winners will win a prize.  The 1st Place winner of the contest gets a cash prize! Everyone is invited to come watch and cheer on your favorites.
