Os Mutantes and Dama Vicke at Valley Bar

Legendary architects of the Brazilian psychedelic rock movement known as Tropicália, Os Mutantes are one of the most influential rock bands to ever do it. Their experimental, cerebral style, backed up with absolutely stellar musicianship made them one of the most enduring Brazilian bands of their era. While few members remain from their original run between 1966 and 1978, the band’s lead guitar and vocalist Sérgio Dias endures, and has surrounded himself with a band of capable musicians who have helped put on wild, engaging shows since their reformation in 2006. $20. 6:30 p.m. 130 N Central Ave. Phoenix, AZ; valleybarphx.com // @valleybarphx

Unsane, Sorrower and Hillbilly Devilspeak at the Yucca Tap Room

Legendary noise rock band Unsane were never the biggest or most successful rock band while they were around, but their influence has been massive a heady blend of hardcore, metal and art rock that keeps their cultish base of dedicated fans guessing. They’re playing their first Arizona show since 2017 this month at the Yucca Tap Room, joined by a pair of locals that could be considered their spiritual descendants: Sorrower and Hillbilly Devilspeak. $15. 7:30 p.m. 29 W Southern Ave. Tempe, AZ; yuccatap.com // @yuccataproom

Valentines Super Love Jam at the Footprint Center

Spend your post-Valentine’s Day weekend enjoying some absolutely killer slow jams at the Footprint Center, courtesy of acts like Keith Sweat, Genuine, Backstreet, Color Me Band and Tierra. This all-star lineup is like a who’s who of R&B pioneers, so if you’re in the mood to get in the mood, there’s no better place to be than Downtown Phoenix with your sweetheart. $45+. 7 p.m. 201 E Jefferson St. Phoenix, AZ; footprintcenter.com // @footprintcntr

Innings Festival at Tempe Beach Park & Arts Park

What first seemed like an odd mix of alt rock and baseball, the Innings Festival has evolved into a favorite local event here in the Valley, bringing rockers and baseball fanatics to Tempe Beach Park & Arts Park for a weekend full of great live music and appearances by some of the biggest names in baseball. This year, you can enjoy live sets from acts like Green Day, Weezer, The Black Crowes, Eddie Vedder, The Revivalists and many more, plus appearances from living MLB legends like Randy Johnson, Jake Peavy and Dontrelle Willis. $209+.
