Guide to Celebrating the Fourth in #PHX

While many Arizonans are ditching the Valley in favor of cooler weather, we commend those of you staying in town for the Fourth of July weekend. We are here to assure you that there will be no shortage of great events (and fireworks) to enjoy throughout the week. Check out our top neighborhood celebrations ranging from kid-friendly to sport-focused below.

Wednesday, July 3

Annual Independence Day Celebration at Lake Pleasant

Beat the heat (kind of) with a lakeside celebration at Lake Pleasant in Peoria. Look forward to inflatable water slides, bounce houses, food trucks and even kids activities with fireworks beginning at 9 p.m.

Celebration at Westworld

This family-friendly North Scottsdale celebration will have all kinds of activities including a BMX show, stunt dogs challenge, bull riding rodeo and even an appearance by American Ninja Warrior competitor Adam Rayl. Even better? It’s all inside until fireworks light up the night at 9 p.m.

Tempe Town Lake Festival

One of the Valley’s best-known festivals is back for its 66th Annual Fireworks Spectacular, boasting one of the best displays in town right off of the iconic Mill Avenue Bridge. The sprawling festival also features plenty of family-friendly activities, food vendors and live music.

Fabulous Phoenix Fourth

If booze isn’t a priority, then this non-alcoholic celebration is one to check out thanks to its two entertainment stages, arts and crafts vendors, inflatables, water spray zone and of course, one of the largest fireworks displays in the Southwest.

Arizona Diamondbacks’ Fireworks Spectacular

There’s pretty much nothing more American than baseball, so a Diamondbacks vs. Colorado Rockies game followed by an impressive fireworks display at Chase Field might be one of the most patriotic ways to celebrate this Independence Day.

Fourth Weekend

Fourth of July Freedom Fest

The 8th Annual Fourth of July Freedom Fest is an all-day affair complete with a poolside vintage air show, military tributes, concerts, fireworks and several restaurants on-site to choose from for lunch and dinner options. Perfect for a patriotic staycation.

Flagstaff Summerfest

Not quite brave enough to face 100+ temperatures for fireworks? Fair enough. Head up to Flagstaff for a weekend of slightly cooler weather, live entertainment, local food trucks and food vendors, plus over one hundred craft vendors all in the beautiful Coconino National Forest.
