Zane Lamprey, award-winning travel show host and comedian, performs stand-up comedy based on his experiences shooting Three Sheets and Drinking Made Easy. Fountain Hills Oktoberfest
The Fountain Hills Oktoberfest family event is truly an authentic Bavarian-style celebration. Sing along with old-time German drinking songs and dance a jig on their dance floor while enjoying the music of a live German band. You will not be disappointed with the traditional German food: pretzels, strudel, schnitzel, sauerkraut, German sausage, and more! Rockin’ Taco Street Fest
A food, music and cultural celebration, Rockin’ Taco Street Fest will feature creative tacos from 20 local restaurants and food trucks. “Water/Air: A Visual and Audio Landscape Exhibition”
Bringing together two elemental forces, “Water/Air” celebrates how the forces of nature can be used to create conventional and unconventional landscape art. Through the use of watercolor and acrylic (element of water), painters Osgood and Voron are able to capture the seemingly mundane and the extraordinary through the movement of water and painting medium. Using another element (element of air), sound artist Barua maps different types of spaces through sound waves. This includes both a digital landscape and a surround sound piece that is responsive to its environment during the opening of the exhibition. 6-9pm. Free.
