Wednesday, May 30

– The Diamondbacks look to break out of a recent slump with another win against the Cincinnati Reds. Catch the Matinee game at 12:40pm.

– Experience a Blind Wine Tasting at Valley Bar, featuring samples of several local blends. There are two times available at 6:00pm and 7:30pm, and tickets are $15.00.

Thursday, May 31

– Get a break on Friday Eve and hit up Happy Hour at the Vig from 3:00pm-6:00pm. Then, stick around for the atmosphere and free live music.

– French (and wine) enthusiasts can get their fix at FilmBar for a French Wine tasting and a showing of the French Film, MicMacs. Tickets are $15.00.

Friday, June 1

– Meet in the Japanese Friendship Garden to take a class learning language and culture from 4:30pm-5:30pm. A great time to practice your knowledge too!

– Check out the “Unexpected” venue for a summer fashion show at 6:00pm. This is a fun free event letting you see the art exhibit as well.

Saturday, June 2

– Yoga Nidra is the practice of sleep-based, guided meditation that can help you fight stress (among other benefits). If you’ve ever wanted to try it out and experience the benefits for yourself, you get your chance this Saturday for just $20 if you come to Yoga Nidra with the Herbaceous Babe at Your ApotheKerry.

– Love fantasy and classic films? Head to Film Bar to catch a showing of the 1915 Alice in Wonderland Silent Film at 10:00pm. Tickets are just $12.00.

– Want to experience a sensory adventure through the botanical gardens…at night? Flashlight Tours let you explore the sights, sounds and mysteries of the desert night. You get your chance to be a nocturnal garden explorer every Saturday through September, but a different experience awaits each week.

Sunday, June 3

Catch a show at the intimate Rebel Lounge – Alex Lahey is an Australian singer-songwriter with an alternative, indie vibe. Tickets between $13-15, and show starts at 8:00pm.

– Support local Arizona musicians with a release party for “When In AZ. Volume 2” at Crescent Ballroom. The compilation features 100 AZ bands covering songs from other AZ artists. Free event!

Monday, June 4

– Support the arts and attend a free book reading from local poet Cody Wilson at Crescent Ballroom. His work has been described as a “beautiful reminder of the joy and risk surrounding us every day.”

– We just love the sound of Moonlight Magic – a local band with gorgeous vocals and instrumentals that perform often at Valley bar. They’ll be there at 7:00pm and it’s free.

Tuesday, June 5

– Enjoy a margarita and some tacos in celebration of Taco Tuesday at Joyride Taco House. From 2:00pm to close, tacos are only $2 and Margs are only $5.00.

– Ladies – hit up a Happy Hour Retreat at the Henry in Phoenix for motivational speaking and exercises reflecting on positivity. $15.00, with ticket sales supporting Fresh Start Women’s Foundation. More information on the foundation
