Weekly Wins: Things to Do in Phx May 23 -29

As Phoenix is transitioning into Summer, the last week of May serves as a great opportunity to see what’s going on around the state and enjoy the (relatively) cool morning and nighttime temps.

Hot air balloon festivals, wine tastings, poolside yoga, the D-backs battling the Reds, and Sip & Shop Sunday are just a few of the MANY activities to enjoy in Phx over the next 7 days.

Here are some of our picks that will help you live the #FrayLife this Memorial Day Weekend week:

Wednesday, May 23

– Looking for a chance to get outdoors before the hot temps hit? Walk with the community through local Margaret T. Hance Park as a part of the WalkPHX program. A great way to make new friends and get some exercise.

– Every Friday night at 10PM, Valley Bar hosts “Party with a Purpose” – a donation-based dance night ($3) that gets donated to a featured humanitarian organization. This month, the organization is Camp Kesem, which you can find more info on here.

Saturday, May 26

– Enjoy the weather before the heat really hits at the Open-Air Market hosted by Phoenix Public Market. Shop local produce and promote local businesses, then enjoy lunch at the Café right next door.

– Grab a $3 mimosa and get ready to browse craft vendors and enjoy a live DJ at DeSoto Central Market. The “Sip and Shop Sunday” is a great way to spend the day and support local business!

Monday, May 28

– Honor those who have fallen in the line of duty at the 12th Annual Memorial Day Rally “Flags for our Fallen,” hosted by Riders USA. Over 200 bikers will park along a flag-lined road as a way to pay tribute to our American Heroes. Details here.

Tuesday, May 29

– Catch the Arizona Diamondbacks take on the Cincinnati Reds in the second game of a three-game series. Tickets start at just $12.
